NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
A Nacogdoches man is beginning a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty Friday to having sex with a 12-year-old girl in March.
District Judge Ed Klein approved the sentence for Charles Earl Brisco, Jr., 20.
According to a previous report, a man called police to
report an alleged assault. When police arrived at the residence they
questioned Brisco and a 12-year-old girl, according to a police
affidavit.
"Brisco revealed that they had sexual intercourse in the apartment prior to NPD staff arriving," the police affidavit stated.
Police said Brisco first denied that any
sexual activity had occurred, but later admitted to NPD staff that he
did have intercourse with the girl.
Police found enough evidence to warrant an
arrest. Brisco was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a
first degree felony, according to the affidavit.
