Beverly Moses Pays It Forward: 11/19/12

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

This week's Pay It Forward segment starts out in Northeast Lubbock on a beautiful fall afternoon.  We set up along Parkway Drive searching for our Thanksgiving Week playmaker.

Beverly Moses spots us right away. She saw our sign while she was on her lunch break. Beverly has seen Pay It Forward before and knows who she wants to help out.

Beverly has chosen the pastor of a Lubbock church as this week's recipient of $300. B.R. Moton is pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Lubbock. Beverly tells us that Pastor Moton has really helped her family a lot over the years. She feels that helping him out would be a blessing for all that he has done for his church family.

We drive to New Hope Baptist Church where we find Pastor Moton in his office. Beverly surprises him with $300. Pastor Moton is overwhelmed and thankful that Beverly would think of him. Pastor Moton says he will spend it to pay bills over the holidays.

Be looking for our Pay It Forward sign soon! You may become our next playmaker over the holidays!
