LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
Now that Thanksgiving has
passed many areas are getting ready for Christmas.
Tuesday night is the
annual Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade in Lufkin.
Today students and parents
of St. Cyprian's Episcopal School were out decorating their float with lights
and other Christmas items that will showcase this year's theme, winter
wonderland.
This is a project that lets both the parents
and children get ready for the holidays.
"It's a great way to
start the Christmas season, the parade is always a joy, and St. Cyprians always
enjoys participating in it," said a St. Cyprian parent.
The parade starts at 6 PM
in the Lufkin downtown district and will showcase many colorful floats from organizations
from around the area, including KTRE Television.
The parade will also have a special Grand
Marshall, Brandon Belt, first basemen for the World Series winning San
Francisco Giants.
