The 2013 list for the Best Resale Value overall in vehicles is dominated by one brand, Toyota.
"It's no doubt it's Toyota's quality, safety and fuel economy that gives them the superior resale over the competition," said Robert Gill of Loving Toyota in Lufkin.
Kelly Blue Book says the list changes every year and they say this year seems to be special for the Toyota/Scion brand.
"The top ten list typically changes from year to year and part of Toyota's success is just a fact that consumers' preferences favor the vehicles offered by these brands," said Eric Ibara of Kelley Blue Book.
But Toyota is not at the top of every list, Honda several cars and the American automakers are not trailing too far behind.
If muscle is more of your style, then you're definitely going to want to check out the new Chevy Camero.
"There was a time when the Camero could not out sale the ford mustang, because that's what everyone wanted to buy, and what's happened now is it beats the mustang, it beats the challenger every year," said J.J. Weib of Peltier Chverolet in Lufkin.
Weib said the Camero was the top sports car and it's all because of the popularity.
"You have to realize that those MSRP's for most of us, may be out of reach, on the higher end levels, so those are extremely popular pre owned cars," said Weib.
Researchers say whatever type of car a consumer chooses the best way to save money is to make sure they do their homework before they buy and or trade-in.
