Animal heads stolen from Lufkin restaurant

Posted: Updated:

Construction on the new Fuel City location hit a bump in the road Tuesday afternoon.

Lufkin Police say several animal mounts and a bear rug were stolen out of the Denny's restaurant located in the 1900 block of East Denman Avenue.

One of the mounts stolen was the head of the owner's beloved Longhorn Rodeo. The items stolen have value of up to $20,000. Fuel City owners are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can find the head of Rodeo.
