Two East Texas restaurants were hit with the most serious violations on inspection. Lupes Mexican restaurant at 1015 East Marshall Avenue in Longview had 7 violations. Salsa was held too warm. Rice, fajita beef and chicken were too cold. Employees had open drinks and were eating on the food line. Spoiled foods were found and discarded, and dirty can openers and utensils were found. Total demerits : 28
In Tyler, Shipley's Donuts at 1708 South Southeast Loop 323 # 100
Croissant sandwiches were held too warm and had to be discarded. Ham and sausage kolaches were held too cold and had to be discarded. Employees were observed not washing hands. And there was cross contamination of prepared foods. Total demerits : 28
