It's what meteorologists like to call a "persistence" forecast. There are simply no major weather features that would cause any immediate pattern changes.
A large, potent system off the West Coast will bring a lot of rain, gusty winds and mountain snow to the West Coast, but all it will do in the Valley of the Sun is spread some high clouds at times through the weekend. Highs will still top out in the upper 70s, about 8 to 10 degrees above normal.
The warm weather will stick around for at least the next seven days, and there are some indications Arizona could flirt with record highs by the middle of next week.
