LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
A Lufkin man accused of trying to rob a post office will be evaluated in a mental health facility before his case moves on in the federal court system.
Magistrate Judge Zack Hawthorn signed an order to send Keith DeWayne Bailey, 29, to a medical center for federal prisoners for no longer than 30 days.
Bailey is charged with attempting to rob the United States Post
Office in Woodville on Oct. 1. If convicted, Bailey
faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine not to exceed $250,000 or both.
