POLLOK, TX (KTRE) - A 32-year-old Angelina County resident received minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover accident on US Highway 69 north in Pollok Monday morning.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, it appears as though Nicholas Tyler was heading south on US Highway 69 toward Lufkin in a Chevrolet Blazer SUV. He was on his way to work at a Lufkin McDonalds.
DPS troopers on the scene said it looked as though Tyler was driving too fast for the weather conditions, lost control on the wet road, slid into the ditch, and rolled over. In the process, he narrowly missed a telephone pole.
Tyler crawled out of the SUV and was transported by ambulance across the highway to the Polks Pick It Up convenience store for treatment of his injuries. He was later taken to a Lufkin hospital for evaluation.
