HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

Hudson Police officers arrested a 26-year-old Lufkin woman Sunday after she allegedly forced her way into a residence on Roper Road and attempted to assault a 17-year-old girl at that location.

Tiffany Elizabeth Sanders is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit assault. No bond has been set at this time.

According to Jimmy Casper, the chief of the Hudson Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. He said Sanders was trying to get into the residence on Roper Road to see her daughter, adding that she does not have custody of the girl.

After she attempted to assault a 17-year-old in the residence, the teen subdued her and restrained her until law enforcement officers could arrive on the scene.
