NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Stephen F. Austin State University Police Department arrested a 19-year-old Dickinson man Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman at Nacogdoches' Lumberjack Village.

James Edward Jones is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of sexual assault, which is a second-degree felony. No bond has been set at this time.

According to the arrest affidavit, a SFA Police officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of North Street. A young woman told the officer that she had been sexually assaulted at an apartment at Lumberjack Village, which is located at 1515 Clark St. The apartment complex is considered part of the SFA campus.

The victim told the SFA Police officer that Jones had sexual intercourse with her without her permission. Then when a SFA PD detective interviewed Jones, he allegedly admitted to the sexual assault. He was arrested and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on Monday.
