State Rep. Elect Travis Clardy, R-Nacogdoches, plans 3 townhall meetings

NACOGDOCHES, TX (News Release) - State Rep. Elect Travis Clardy today announced he will hold three town halls before the Legislature convenes for the 2013 session.

"I believe it is of the upmost importance as an elected official to meet with constituents to understand their key issues. The communities in Cherokee, Rusk, and Nacogdoches counties deserve to have their voice heard before the Legislature convenes," Clardy said in a press release. "We face many challenges in the upcoming session, and I look forward to hearing from everyone."

The three town hall meetings will give the residents of each county in District 11 the opportunity to voice their thoughts and opinions on the issues important to them as the Legislature begins to get underway.

The dates are as follows:

Rusk County – Tuesday, December 11 – Justice of the Peace #5 Courtroom, Rusk Co. Justice Center, Henderson, 5:30 p.m.. – 6:30 p.m..

Nacogdoches County – Monday, December 17 – Courthouse Annex, 203 West Main, Nacogdoches, 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Cherokee County – Tuesday, December 18 - Jacksonville College, Buckner Chapel, 105 B. J. Albritton Dr., Jacksonville 6:00 p.m.. – 7:00 p.m..

Clardy has served on the Executive Board of the East Texas Boy Scouts, is a Paul Harris Fellow at the Nacogdoches Rotary Club, is a sponsor of the Heartbeat Pregnancy Center, is an active member of the North Street Church of Christ, participates on the Alumni Advisory Board for Abilene Christian University, and is a member of the Dean's Circle for the SFASU College of Fine Arts.

Clardy is an attorney in Nacogdoches and he and his wife Judy have four sons.
