PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A family and their pets escaped unharmed when their house caught fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire began in the attic of the home in the area of 21st Street and Bell Road about 4:45 a.m. A neighbor reported the fire to the Phoenix Fire Department, according to Capt. Scott McDonald.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire, and the majority of the damage was contained to the attic, he said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was still under investigation, McDonald said.
