Nacogdoches Police: Man claims he was robbed at gunpoint by 3 men

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man went to Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries after he was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by three black men early Monday morning.

According to the police report, the man told Nacogdoches Police officers that he was visiting at a residence in the 2400 block of Fore Street and went outside sometime between 2:20 and 2:40 a.m. Monday to put garbage into a trash can.

While he was outside, three black men approached the man from a trail and "restrained him at gunpoint," the report stated. They allegedly took a small amount of cash from the man, and he received minor injuries when one of them struck him in the face.

The robbery is still under investigation at this time. According to the police report, the only description provided by the victim was three black men in dark coats.
