TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

A home north of Tyler has been destroyed following a fire Tuesday evening.

The fire was called in around 5:20 p.m. There was no one home at the time the blaze started. It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control.

The mobile home is considered a total loss and was not insured.

Lindale fire chief Jerry Garner tells KLTV 7 that one his department's firefighters sustained minor injuries when the back wall of the house fell on him. The unidentified fireman was fighting fire underneath the house, when the wall fell, and momentarily trapped him.

Other firefighters on scene were able to remove him from underneath the wall. He was checked by medical crews on the scene, but did not receive any major injuries.

The house is located on County Road 328 West, just north of Tyler near John Soles Food. A couple lived in the home with their two children.

Investigators are waiting for the ruins to cool down before they can determine the cause of the fire.
