TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Fire crews were able to douse massive flames from a burning truck before it spread to a Trinity County family's home.

Late Tuesday, firefighters from Apple Springs and Groveton Volunteer Fire Departments were called to a home on FM 2262 in the Trevat community.

A logging work, loaded with oxygen and acetylene tanks, caught fire around 11 p.m., burning the vehicle to the frame.

Neighbors said they awoke to what they described as "explosions." Jeff Hannah lives nearby and captured video of the emergency responders putting out the fire. "I got out of bed and heard the tires exploding."

Apple Springs Fire Chief Jarrod Meshell said the cause of the fire is unclear at this time.

A camper parked near the truck was also melted by the flames.

No injuries were reported.
