TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The University Center on the UT-Tyler campus was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after the general fire alarm was set off by smoke.

According to Beverly Golden at UT-Tyler, the smoke was coming from a mechanical room. The Tyler Fire Marshal's office said a pump motor burned up, causing the smoke. Tyler firefighters responded to the alarm, and the all clear was called shortly thereafter.
