Latexo student suffers serious injury after getting hit by vehicle

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Latexo High School student is being treated for serious injuries after getting hit by a vehicle on US 287 Monday afternoon.

Trooper David Hendry said a 17-year-old student was trying to cross the road about a tenth of a mile south of County Road 2663 when he was struck by a northbound vehicle around 3:30 p.m.

The student was taken by helicopter to a Tyler hospital. His condition is not yet available.
