Tyler Police arrest two in string of auto burglaries

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler Police arrested two men early Tuesday morning in connection with a string of auto burglaries.

Just before 4 a.m., Tyler Police responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the area of 3300 Omega. According to the caller, the vehicle was driving the neighborhood with no lights on.

Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the occupants, and were able to match property found in the vehicle to three separate auto burglaries in the area.

19-year-old, Jonathan Meza and Austin Taylor, 21, both of Tyler were arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on three counts of burglary of a vehicle.

Additional property was also recovered during this investigation.
