Grass fire threatens structures in Smith County

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Winona and Jackson Heights Fire Departments responded to a grass fire in Smith County Tuesday afternoon.

The fire burned in the area of CR 384 near I-20. It was reportedly a fast-moving fire that was burning southward. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in about five minutes.
