Panther Pride preps for Christmas Spectacular performance

Posted: Updated:
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin High School Panther Pride, JV drill team and Honor Guard are putting in a lot of practice to get ready for their annual Christmas Spectacular.

The show brings together singing, dancing and a little acting.

The holiday themed performance really gets the audience in the Christmas spirit.

Panther Pride Director, Johnna Walker says parts of the show are patterned after the Rockettes.

Walker said she "kind of based it of the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular that's kind of the basis of it. I wanted to experience a little bit of Broadway and what it's like.">

The Christmas Spectacular is this Thursday with shows at 10:00 and 1:00 for elementary school kids. Admission is $1 for those 2 shows. There's also a 7:00 PM show for the general public. Admission to the 7 PM show is $5.

All performances will be at Lufkin High School in the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium.
