LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
Edwards Jacobs was once the owner
of the Methadone Clinic of East Texas here in Lufkin. Now East Texas News has
learned the clinic is still operating, but under a new owner, the Dallas-based
Behavior Health Group.
According to the new director,
Steve Campbell, Jacobs hasn't been the owner for several months.
Last night, we told you
43-year-old Jacobs pleaded guilty to arson and murder for hire charges in
federal court.
"We acquired this facility and
we bought it under the high standards that BHG operates, and we are no longer
associated or we have never really been associated with the previous owner,"
Campbell said. "We simply acquired this facility.
The Behavioral Health Group acquired
the facility on December 7. Campbell says they will provide quality care for
East Texas wanting to kick addiction.
