A Newtown native now living in San Diego, CA, is doing her part to help the town she once called home.
Kerin Sovern and a group of friends are selling "I Love Newtown" T-shirts to raise money for the victims killed last Friday in the second worst school shooting in United States history.
She described Newtown as the ultimate place to grow up.
"It's just a great town with wonderful people," she said. "General store, .99 bacon, egg and cheese; $2 movie theater, ice cream shops - everything that you could imagine out of a town you'd want to raise your kids in."
The T-shirts are being sold for $25 online, and they're flying off the virtual shelves. Printing companies are donating materials to help keep them coming.
