Posted: Updated:

Longview Police are searching for a man after a chase following a hit-and-run ended with the man crashing into a house, Friday morning.

Police say the suspect was chased after a hit-and-run on Judson Road by the driver he hit. The driver lost the suspect downtown.

The man then crashed the vehicle into a house in the 400 block of Green Street, across the street from the Old Foster Middle School campus around 9 a.m.

Police say the vehicle was taken late Thursday from a Longview convenience store.

Investigators say the man was involved in a hit and run accident on Judson Road, driving at a high rate of speed. The suspect lost control of the vehicle on Green Street, drove through a picket fence of a house, and then crashed into another house adjacent to it.

Both houses were unoccupied. The suspect, who is described as a white male with a military style haircut, fled the scene. The man may have been injured when he fled.
