NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
Nacogdoches
Police officers responded to a theft in 3100 block of Cecil Jones Street Sunday
afternoon. The suspect or suspects stole TVs, furniture, and a game system two
days before Christmas.
No
arrests have been made in the case.
"The
complainant said that she had been letting someone stay in her residence while
she was away, and when she got home, the items were missing," Sgt. Charles Cain,
a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, said. "The case is still under investigation."
Cain said
the people the woman allowed to stay in her home were not there when she
returned. In addition, there was no sign of forced entry. Two flat-screen
televisions, a portable DVD
player, a
Nintendo Wii game console, a couch, and a love seat were reported missing.
Someone also broke into a nearby storage building owned by the property's
landlord, and furniture was taken from it as well.
