HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A National Weather Service report indicates two tornadoes touched down in Houston County on Tuesday.
The first, an EF3, touched down at 9:25 a.m., with winds peaking at 150 miles per hour. It left a path of seven miles long and 300 yards wide and took off at 9:35 a.m.

That tornado cause the worst damage along US 287, a mile north of Pennington, where it destroyed a feed store and restaurant, according to the report. Witnesses saw a dark cloud moving across the path, scattering debris.
The second, an EF0, touched down at 9:40 a.m. and picked up at 9:41 a.m. Winds peaked at 75 miles per hour and it traveled three-tenths of a mile and with a 30-yard width.
The report states a police officer near the scene of the earlier tornado witnessed it.
