Mobile home left heavily damaged after afternoon fire

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A mobile home is left heavily damaged Sunday after it caught fire. Officials say the mobile home located in the 27-hundred block of Flamingo road in Upshur County caught fire around 5pm Sunday. This is located east of Highway 271 and south of Gilmer.

Gilmer fire crews responded to the scene and found flames shooting from the roof. Crews were able to extinguish the fire but it was left with heavy interior damage.

Gilmer was assisted by Glenwood and West Mountain volunteer fire crews. Nobody was home at the time of the fire and nobody was injured.
