Gourmet apples supporting a great cause

Posted: Updated:

Treat your friends, family, and co-workers to gourmet apples for valentine's day while supporting the Family Crisis Center of East Texas. A single purchase will help support the center to help East Texas families begin a new life free of abuse and violence.

You can order tasty 1 1/2 pound caramel or chocolate covered apples now until January 25th at the Women's Shelter Thrift Store in Nacogdoches or the Family Crisis Center Thrift Store in Lufkin. The order form is easy to fill out and apples are $18 each.

Susan Robertson, Fund Development Director, said, "The funds are unrestricted, which means that it will go directly to our clients. We use either here at the safe house or the admin office to fund our day to day agendas. This helps client services, which includes finding housing or having a place for them to stay. Also, providing food and services such as that."

Orders are also available online at www.FamilyCrisisCenterofEastTexas.com

Orders will be available for pick up and delivery on February 13 just in time for Valentine's Day.

For more information, contact Susan Robertson at 936-639-1681.
