NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
A Nacogdoches judge
will be issuing an arrest warrant for Jose Guadalupe Nava, who pleaded guilty
on Sept. 24 to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. Nava didn't show up for
his sentencing hearing Friday morning.
Originally, jury
selection for Nava's trial was set in District Judge Campbell Cox's court. However,
Nava pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The incident was
reported to the Nacogdoches Police Department in March 2011, and Nava was booked
into the Nacogdoches County Jail the next day.
Police withheld
further information to protect the victim's identity.
