PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A man was taken to a Phoenix hospital Monday morning with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.
The shooting happened about 8 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of West Camelback Road, the spokesman said. He said the man appeared to be in his 20s and was in the apartment with a 3-year-old child.
A woman believed to be either the victim's wife or girlfriend was booked into jail Sunday on unrelated suspicion of assault and damage involving a neighbor, according to Officer James Holmes, who did not elaborate on the incident.
No other information was immediately available.
