A judge in Tucson has been told two former city workers will plead guilty in a case involving alleged use of city equipment and materials for private construction work.
Assistant Attorney General Michel Jette told a Pima County Superior Court judge that plea agreements for Kurt Hough and Robert Palomarez will be finalized once restitution amounts are determined.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that Hough and Palomarez were among five transportation supervisors and workers who resigned or were fired last September after an investigation found city workers did private construction work.
Hough and Palomarez are charged with conspiracy and illegal control of an enterprise as well as multiple counts of theft.
