HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) - Huntington Police officers arrested a 47-year-old man Tuesday for allegedly touching a 6-year-old girl inappropriately during a sleep over that occurred on Dec. 10, 2012.
Michael Wayne Langley, of Huntington, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a charge of indecency with a child - sexual contact, which is a second degree felony. No bond has been set at this time.
"At first, [Langley] denied it, but he admitted doing it after he failed a polygraph test," Epperly said. "He said it was an accident."
However, the polygraph test showed deception when he was asked about his intentions in touching the girl. The affidavit stated that Langley was re-interviewed, he admitted to having sexual thoughts when he touched the girl inappropriately.
Chief Bobby Epperly of the Huntington Police Department said they started their investigation in early December 2012. He said during an interview at Harold's House, a local child advocacy center, the 6-year-old girl told investigators that she was sleeping in the same bed with Langley, his wife, and an 8-year-old girl during a sleep over when he allegedly touched her inappropriately on the outside of her clothes.
The girl told investigators that Langley allegedly asked her if she wanted to touch his "private part." She then told him to stop, according to the affidavit.
The sleep over occurred at Langley's residence in the 100 block of West Walnut Street.
