ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -
Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspected meth dealer after they reported catching him stealing a four-wheeler in the county Sunday morning.
Robert Delane Moore, 42, is charged with state-jail felony theft and state-jail felony delivery of a controlled substance.
According to Lt. Bryan Holley, deputies were dispatched to Penn Bonner Road around 6 a.m. Sunday in reference to a suspicious vehicle. When the deputy arrived, he saw a black pickup with a trailer and Moore trying to load a four-wheeler onto the trailer, Holley said.
The deputy suspected the four-wheeler was stolen and spoke with nearby residents, who said they were missing a four-wheeler. They then identified the four-wheeler as theirs.
The deputy arrested Moore on the theft charge and on the outstanding drug charge.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Moore sold meth to a confidential informant in 2012. Details on the case are being withheld to protect the identity of the informant.
Holley said Moore has a lengthy criminal record and is on parole.
