Gold Canyon bank robbers tied to more robberies

FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery in Gold Canyon that they believe is linked to additional cases in the county.

PCSO Spokesman Tim Gaffney said Well Fargo Bank at 6607 S. Kings Ranch Rd. was robbed about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Gaffney said the suspects fired a gun inside the bank. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects fled in a white Ford Ranger.

A patrol deputy located the vehicle soon after and the two suspects were arrested.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Gaffney said they believe the suspects are likely tied to additional bank robbery cases.

No other details were immediately available.
