EAST TEXAS (KTRE) -

Even though the freezing rain has moved out of East Texas, drivers could still have some problems on area bridges and overpasses early Wednesday morning.

With freezing drizzle lingering across East Texas and surface temperatures dropping to near or below freezing, any liquid water will have a good chance of re-freezing on contact overnight. This event, known as black ice, can be dangerous especially during the early morning hours.

Please use caution on your Wednesday morning commute and allow yourself some extra time to get to work or school.

Once temperatures warm up into the 40s on Wednesday afternoon, our threat for wintry precipitation will come to an end.
