Nacogdoches man arrested for meth in traffic stop

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man on a meth charge following a traffic stop early Wednesday.

According to a press release, deputies stopped Marcus Burdette, 54, around 12:10 a.m. on the intersection of US 259 and Loop 204.

Burdette was initially arrested on traffic charges and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail. While he was being booked in on the charge, jailers found five grams of meth on him.

He is charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
