NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 17-year-old Houston man late Wednesday night for state jail felony possession of marijuana after he allegedly boarded a Kerrville bus with a duffle bag containing 3 pounds of marijuana and a pistol.

Drevon Jones is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds. No bond has been set at this time.

Nacogdoches Sheriff Jason Bridges said that NCSO deputies conducted a routine check of Kerrville bus parked at the bus station located at 2915 NW Stallings Drive around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

According to a press release, the deputies observed a man acting nervous and moving from seat to seat. When the NCSO deputies approached Jones they allegedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from his duffle bag.

After the deputies got permission to search the duffle bag, they found the marijuana and the pistol. He was arrested at the scene for state jail felony possession of marijuana and unlawfully possessing, and deputies took him to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
