In Longview, two restaurants were singled out for the most serious violations under inspection.

El Lagunero at 1023 East Marshall Avenue had six critical violations.

Red enchilada sauce and cheese was held too warm.

Chicken, beans and grilled onions held to cold.

Spoiled chicken soup was found.

Stored foods were not date marked, and toxic items were stored near drinking cups.

Total demerits : 24

Tejas Food Mart at 1822 Pine Tree Road.

Moldy chicken was found in a cooler

Employees seen wiping hands on pants , handling foods barehanded. 

and stored foods were not date marked.

Total demerits : 22
