Nacogdoches banker ordered to pay $50k for false records

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A federal judge has ordered a former Nacogdoches bank president to pay more than $53,000 in restitution for falsifying records in 2010.

Willard T. Scott, 34, of Nacogdoches, pleaded guilty in July to federal information that he made false entries of bank records.

Federal investigators have evidence Scott removed funds from a customer's account, saying it was to make payment for the customer's loan, but in fact deposited the funds into an account of a home contractor.

Scott receives credit for time served, one day, which is all he was sentenced to serve in prison. He must also serve three years of supervised release.
