It started out as a joke, but now ‘Stache Night' is a tradition that everyone looks forward to.
"Everyone always wants to know when the schedule comes out, which night is Stache Night and we've tried to take it to a new level," said SFA Coordinator of Operations Josh Jorgensen.
With the program off to a 15-1 start, the excitement might just be at an all time high.
"There's a lot of interest with the program and with the new social media in the promotion this year, it just takes it to a whole new level," said Assistant Athletic Director John Branch.
This year there are some old elements like the t-shirt giveaway.
"When they come out they will have the opportunity to get a Danny Kasper Stache Night t-shirt, that's a tradition every year, and Danny Kasper's wife and his daughter are usually the first ones in line," said Branch.
There are also some new things, like the new social media contest. In the weeks leading up to the game, fans sporting mustaches on facebook and twitter will be entered into a contest. Each week there will be a winner and the final winner will win four tickets to the Southland Basketball Tournament.
How does Coach Kasper feel? He knows it's all out of fun.
