Authorities in Trinity County have arrested Anthony Bergman on charges of felony endangering a child.

According to Trinity County Sheriff, Woody Wallace, on January 14, Bergman and a minor child were passengers in a vehicle. The driver was driving through Apple Springs when he reached over and jerked the steering wheel away from the driver causing a crash.

Wallace said there were no serious injuries reported from the crash but Bergman was intoxicated.

Bergman is being charged with child endangerment because a child (believed to be under the age of 15) was in the vehicle when Bergman's actions caused the crash.

He is being held in the Trinity County Jail.
