Angelina Co. home destroyed in early morning fire

HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

An Angelina County home is a total loss after an early-morning fire Tuesday.

It happened just after 12:30 a.m. Crews were called to a mobile home in the 900 block Stephenson Brown Road in the Hudson area.

Authorities say crews from Hudson, Lufkin, and Central Fire Departments only left the scene a short time ago.

A spokesperson for the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department said it looks as though the fire started in the home's kitchen. A fire marshall will be on-scene to investigate the cause of the fire later today.

A family of four lost everything in the fire. The Lufkin branch of the American Red Cross is helping the family with its immediate needs. Luckily, they do have home owner's insurance, according to a spokesman for the Hudson VFD.
