COMMERCE, TX (KTRE) -

A Commerce man suspected of breaking into cars found himself detained by a homeowner armed with a gun, according to a press release that was posted on the Commerce Police Department's Facebook page on Thursday morning.

On January 12, 2013, just before midnight, Commerce officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Bois D'arc in reference to a man breaking into vehicles. Once on scene, officers observed that a man was being detained by the homeowner. The suspect was identified as 32- year-old Commerce resident Moses Miller.

Officers with the Commerce Police Department arrested Miller on two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. After being booked in at the Commerce Police Department, Miller was transported to the Hunt County Jail.

Miller posted two bonds of $2,000 for the two counts of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and is out on bond pending trial.

According to the homeowner, he was alerted by his daughter that she saw Miller inside her friend's car. Miller was then observed breaking into another car in the residence's driveway.  That is when the homeowner confronted the suspected car burglar and detained him at gun point until the arrival of police officers.
