Victims ID'd in hit and run wreck that left one dead

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Authorities have released the names of the victims involved in a hit and run accident near Gilmer in Upshur County.

According to DPS, a motorcycle rider wrecked his bike on FM 726 South off Finch Road near Gilmer. While the motorcyclist was in the road, an older model, white single cab pickup truck hit the rider, then drove off.

The motorcycle rider, Maxwell Kyle Hardin, 35, of Hallsville was taken to a Tyler hospital, where he died later Sunday evening.  The passenger on the motorcycle, 36-year-old Donna Rene Miller also of Hallsville was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview in serious condition. Miller has since been released from the hospital.

The pickup truck was last seen heading southbound on 726 from FM 1650.
