NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Following a one-vehicle accident in the 900 block of South Fredonia Street late Sunday evening, Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the car.

James Durrell Angle Jr., of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of DWI with a child under the age of 15, which is a state-jail felony. No bond has been set.

A press release issued by Sgt. Greg Sowell of the Nacogdoches Police Department stated that the officers on the scene arrested Angle on the scene after they determined he was intoxicated. The 7-year-old boy that was in the car with him was turned over to the child's mother after the NPD officers called her to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
