NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches County deputies arrested three Georgia residents and confiscated 23 pounds of marijuana in a traffic stop Saturday morning.

According to Sheriff Jason Bridges, deputies stopped two vehicles traveling northbound on US 59. During the stop, deputies reported the suspects were very nervous and gave conflicting statements to deputies. Deputies got consent to search bother vehicles and found 23 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of one of the vehicles and evidence linking the driver of the first vehicle to the marijuana.

The deputies arrested Coronado Hinds, 42, Elva Mayweather, 34, and Chinika Pittman, 27, all of Lawrenceville, Ga., on charges of third-degree possession of marijuana and state-jail felony criminal conspiracy.
