CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - Crockett Police officers arrested a 43-year-old man Tuesday for felony criminal mischief after he allegedly got into an argument with an individual at East Texas Medical Center Crockett and later rammed his pickup into the man's truck in the parking lot.
James Porter, of Crockett, was taken to the Houston County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of criminal mischief. He posted a bond of $9,000 and was released Wednesday.
According to a detective with the Crockett Police Department, the incident occurred on Jan. 18. On that date, Crockett PD officers were dispatched to ETMC in reference to harassment.
When the police officers got there, they were flagged down by people who witnessed the argument. Porter allegedly went to the hospital and yelled at an individual, who went inside and called 911.
The Crockett PD officers spotted Porter driving his pickup in circles around the ETMC parking lot. Later, he allegedly rammed his truck into the victim's 2003 Chevrolet pickup.
