A Smithville woman has agreed to serve a six-month probation sentence after pleading guilty to a lesser charge Thursday morning.

Cynthia Redd pleaded guilty to a Class C misdemeanor. She was originally charged with felony engaging in organized criminal activity.

Authorities raided the parlor on Woden Road in July 2010 and issued about 15 citations to patrons. Investigators confiscated about $2,700 in cash. The location was believed to be linked to an Austin-based company involved with other illegal gaming operations.

Redd was charged in the case, along with her daughter and son-in-law.
