Lady Roadrunner Offense Struggles in Loss at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE – It was just a tough night offensively all the way around for the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners, whose struggles with the ball led to a 70-56 loss to Jacksonville's Lady Jaguars Thursday night in Jacksonville.
The Lady ‘Runners turned the ball over 25 times, leading to 13 Lady Jag points; and AC managed to hit just 20 of 65 shot attempts (30 percent) in the loss.
Demetria Foreman led AC with 16 points, Lexi Harris added 11 points and 10 boards and Diamond Webb and Cekret Davis added 10 points each for the Lady Roadrunners, now 14-8, 6-3 on the season.
Jacksonville (11-10, 4-4) got a double-double from both Khadijah Carter (18 points, 15 rebounds) and Jasmine Robinson (16 points, 11 boards). Susan Agesen added 11 points in the Jacksonville win.
The Lady Roadrunners will take Saturday off before hosting Trinity Valley Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars held the Angelina College Roadrunners to a 37 percent shooting effort from the floor while hitting nearly 60 percent of their own shots to knock off AC 98-79 Thursday in Jacksonville.
Five Jags posted double figures, including Kennedy Eubanks with 18, Daniel Skinner and Mitchell Farr with 14 each, Devon Anderson with 12 and Nimrod Hilliard with 11.
Jaylen Daniel led the Roadrunners, who dropped their third straight with the loss, with 19 points. Quentin Ellis and Donald Thomas added 15 and Victor Mbachu 10 for AC, now 14-9, 7-5 on the season.
The Roadrunners are off on Saturday, but will resume play on at home on Wednesday against Lamar State-Port Arthur. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
