PD: CSI actor arrested in Scottsdale for drunk driving

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A man known for his role as Detective Danny Messer in CSI: NY recently found himself in trouble with Scottsdale police.

According to the police report, Carmine Giovinazzo, 39, of California, was arrested for driving while intoxicated near Scottsdale Road and Lincoln Drive during the early morning hours on Jan. 21.

Giovinazzo told police he was lost and using his GPS, which caused him to swerve. He admitted to having a drink at a Scottsdale hotel before driving.

His blood alcohol level was .119 percent, according to the report. The legal limit is .08 percent.
